We’ve received critical updates from our overseas customs partners regarding FBA shipments imported from China to the United States. Recently, US customs has been implementing stringent inspections, particularly focusing on the “SHIP TO” field on FBA labels designated for Amazon that display a company name.
In such instances, customs may ask for the relevant importer tax number linked to the company for clearance. The inability to furnish this information might lead to customs refusal and eventual return of the shipment.
Considering this scenario, we recommend taking these precautions when handling your FBA labels:
- Before initiating the FBA label printing process, ensure the company name is removed.
- Post-printing, use a marker to obscure any visible company name.
